June 21st is the first official day of summer and the longest day of the year. Be sure to make the most of it by spending some quality time with family and friends! The longer, sunnier days mean the arrival of patio/BBQ Season, wedding season, and countless occasions that turn friends and family into paparazzi. Make sure your smile is camera-ready by paying us a visit. From Whitening to a complete Smile Makeover, there is a lot we can do to give you the beautiful smile you deserve.

If you are interested in bringing out your best smile this summer, give us a call or request an appointment here.

School's Out for Summer!

If your children are off from school for the next few months, please remind them that a break from school does not mean a break from oral hygiene. If your kids are travelling or going off to camp, get them in for an appointment before they leave so we can ensure that they start their summer with a healthy smile.

Have a great month and Happy Father's Day on the 21st to all of the dads out there,

Have a fun and safe month,

Dr. Milligan and the High Park Dental Team

Join Us in the End Women's Cancer Walk!

To our wonderful patients,

For the last 8 out of 9 years, there have been a group of us that have walked alongside other participants in the 60 km Weekend to End Women's Cancer walk, benefiting the Princess Margaret Hospital.

Each year the participants raise millions of dollars that go to research at the Princess Margaret hospital, one of the leading research facilities in the world, to aid in the search for a cure for all women's cancers. This year the walk has changed to a 1 day 25km walk.

Once again, Jacquie and Heather S. will be participating in the walk around the streets of Toronto. Now the 1 day, 25km walk is for ALL cancers and we hope that the funds we raise will help researchers find a cure that could end this disease that affects so many people around the world, no matter who or where they are.

We are walking for our families, our friends and our patients that have been affected by cancer. In the 8 years that our group has walked, we have raised over $100,000!

Remember to Brush After Lunch!

Look both ways before you cross the street
Always hold an adult's hand
Brush your teeth after every meal

These were all good pieces of advice when you were a kid. Well guess what? You should always look both ways, it is nice to hold someone's hand and you should still brush your teeth after every meal!

Make a habit out of keeping a tooth brush at your workplace, and take a moment to clean your teeth after lunch - your email can wait. Keep your workplace tooth brush well covered, dry it after each use and change it more frequently than your home brush (due to germs). Brushing your teeth will help protect them from decay, refresh you, and get rid of the garlic taste from that pasta you ate. Your mouth will appreciate it and so will your coworkers.

Brushing is a part of a larger oral care program that involves regular dental visits.
